STEM for Educators - NASA Missions - To the Moon and Beyond

What: Professional Development Workshop for Educators focused on bringing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) and NASA Activities & Resources into the classroom.

Who: Pre-K, K-12 In-service and Pre-service educators, and Informal Educators

When: June 15th - 17th, 2026

Where: University of North Dakota | Grand Forks, ND

Stipend: $500 plus travel expenses

Details: This hands-on workshop is funded by NASA's National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program. This experience will immerse participants in a NASA mission-themed environment, featuring hands-on activities designed to actively engage students in problem-solving and real-world challenges. Throughout the workshop, educators will explore new and innovative technologies that spark curiosity and inspire interest in STEM fields. Each activity is thoughtfully designed to encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity while connecting directly to North Dakota State Science Standards. Participants will be eligible to earn one Professional Development credits (15 hours) through the University of North Dakota. This workshop provides a unique opportunity to bring engaging, standards-aligned STEM experiences into the classroom and foster a deeper enthusiasm for learning.
